LOGLINE: A cult survivor turned FBI consultant infiltrates extremist organizations searching for the sister she left behind.


WRITER BIO: Comika Hartford Comika began writing and performing at the historic Lorraine Hansberry Theater in her hometown of San Francisco with Rhodessa Jones’ award winning company Cultural Odyssey. Her screenwriting journey began while working in their ongoing outreach theater program The Medea Project creating pieces with inmates in the county jails. At each step of her writing journey she always looked to elevate and include the marginalized human experience. She has worked extensively with the national non-profit organization Community Works writing plays and new media projects for their Art & Social Change program as the head of their Creative Writing Program: WRITING ON WALLS: Storytelling in the Digital Age. Her horror anthology HINTERLAND ZOO dialogues the hypocritical nature of suburban norms. The pilot episode is described by Ashley Blackwell of HORROR NOIR and Graveyard Shift Sisters as "fresh, intriguing, and elevated" in its examination of tradition, marriage, and gender roles. Currently she is participating in the Horrific Network's panel of horror genre writers to discuss the importance of authentic diverse storytelling and screening her micro short about Black vampires called The Interview which premiered at the VERTIFILMS FESTIVAL in Prague.
