LOGLINE: An aging handyman hustles to make his daughter’s tuition payment before nightfall only to discover she has other priorities.


WRITER BIO: Felicia is a self-taught Mexican-American writer/director drawn toward intimate stories that delve into the complexities of the human condition. Her short films have gained recognition at renowned Oscar qualifying film festivals. Felicia is a Stowe Story Lab Fellow, Women in Film Mentee, Commercial Directors Diversity Program Finalist, and Cannes Lions Young Director Award Finalist. | The product of a big cornbread-fed North Carolinian family, Alex is a BIPOC screenwriter who focuses on the adventure, emotions, and comedy that is “family.” His pages tackle the complexities of the “family you choose” while navigating life’s big adventures. While enjoying 'step-parenting' the family that chose him, Alex has reached Coverfly's Top 10 Red List and been a Final Draft semifinalist. Most recently, Alex has been hired to help an indie director develop a biopic feature about a controversial pastor's rise to building America's first mega-church.
